SUBSTITUTE TEACHING: Until further notice, we are NOT accepting applications for substitute teachers.  Substitute Teacher applicants must have a BA and have passed CBEST. Applications are kept on file for a year. The current rate of pay for substitute teachers is at the elementary level is $110.00 per day. The current rate of pay for substitute teachers at the junior high level is $120.00 per day. Long-term assignments pay $141.00 per day beginning with the 21st day of the assignment. Substitutes hired can call in an automated system to receive assignments.
