  • Update from schools and departments/divisions
    • WiFi in Rm 6, 7, 8/Dewey not stable
    • Use of clickers & Khan Academy in Garvey
    • Recent News on Bitely home page
    • Application for teacher to organize calendar, standards, etc. (suggestions: MS One Note, My Class of SharpSchool)
  • On-line registration
    • Re-registration for returning students 
    • Aeries Internet Registration (AIR) for new students
  • Summer tech training (for administrators)
    • Mary will send survey
    • Suggestions: SuccessMaker, Aeries Gradebook, Google Docs, OARS
  • 21st Century Learning Collaboration continues (Scott Sakamoto): project-based learning, collaboration using (Google Docs), Interactive technology
  • Sharing:. Zamzar & Google Forms are quickly shared
  1. Zamzar: Convert files on-line (without the need to download software)
  2. Google Forms: Flubaroo and multi-page form
  3. Edcanvas (Edcanvas...every teacher will want oneHow to create a canvas in 30 seconds) and Getting Started with Edcanvas.
  4. Google Apps Quick Sheets: Drive (also, presentation), Sites

Goals of ETAC 2012-13
  • Use Aeries' Gradebook and make it accessible by parents/students
  • Use L4U for textbook management: 
    • Teachers check out textbooks in the beginning of the school year
    • Teachers check in textbooks in the end of the school year
  • Use of Google Apps
    • Instructional use of Google Docs/Drive (Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Form) and Google Site
    • Administrative use of Google Calendar and Google Docs/Drive
  • Maintain/update web pages (schools and teachers) timely
    • Update photos in the banner of the school home page
    • Make use of the Recent News section
  • Implement Tech Plan 2011-13
  • Apply interactive technology in classroom (125 Starboards, 23 IPJAW250 projectors and other existing interactive technology): 
    • Tech support: hardware/software
    • Training
  • Paperless
    • Convert hard-copy documents into, preferably, searchable PDF
  • Share print resources
    • One network printer per classroom
    • Backup printer on Xerox multi-function unit/copier (MFU)
