John Marshall Elementary School is a quaint neighborhood school located in the city of San Gabriel, California. It serves approximately 250 children from Head Start and Kindergarten through sixth grade. The staff is comprised of 12 classroom teachers, one half-time resource teacher, one half-time Literacy Coach, one half-time resource specialist, one half-time speech pathologist, with two Head Start teachers for the preschoolers. Marshall has an English Learner population of 51%, and 86% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Approximately 58% of the students are Asian, 38% are Hispanic or Latino, 4% are White, 1% Filipino, and 1% African-American. |
