Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When could I expect a confirmation that my child is enrolled in summer school?

Confirmations will be sent by email before the end of May.

What should I do if I did not receive a summer school invitation for my child? Enrollment is due April 21, 2025. Enrollment is closed.

Please double check your email inbox & spam folder for an email from "[email protected]" (email to be sent between April 7-11, 2025). Make sure you check the same primary email address you use for the Aeries Parent Portal.

Note: Special Summer Programs (ESY, Dual Language, Reading & Writing, STEAM and ELAC Math) are by invitation/eligibility only (based on teacher recommendation, academic need and/or other relevant assessment data). Students not eligible to participate in these programs are eligible to participate in the 6-week WCR summer program (first-come, first-served).

What if I missed the enrollment due date?

Enrollment is due April 21, 2025. Enrollment is closed.

Can I request a Summer School site?

No, due to limited capacity, we cannot accommodate school site requests.

When does Summer School begin and end?  

Summer School begins Monday, June 23, 2025.

4-week summer programs end on July 18, 2025.

6-week summer programs end on August 1, 2025.

What time does Summer School begin & end?

Gates open at 7:30 am. Class begins at 8:00 am. Class ends at 12:20 pm.

What time does the Woodcraft Rangers Afternoon Program begin & end?

Woodcraft Rangers Summer Afternoon Program starts at 12:20 pm and ends at 5:00 pm. 

(If you must pick up your child earlier than 5:00 pm, please talk to the Woodcraft Rangers Coordinator on the first day of school).

Will my child receive breakfast & lunch?

If your child arrives early (between 7:30 am - 7:45 am), he/she will receive breakfast at the designated breakfast area. Lunch will be served to all attending students.

Who is eligible to attend summer school?

Incoming (SY 2025-26) Grade 1 - 8 students are invited (except for ESY). There are no programs for Preschool, TK, or high school students. Only currently enrolled students (SY 2024-25), not new students, are invited to summer programs.

What if my child must skip some days of summer school for vacation/event/family matters/etc?

Students cannot miss more than one full week. Please notify us here as soon as possible. // If students will only miss a few days throughout the summer, please have them talk to the teacher on the first day of class.
