4. Why didn't my child receive an invitation to the XXXXXXXX Summer Program?
The following Special Summer Programs are by invitation/eligibility only (based on teacher recommendation, relevant assessment data and/or grade level): Reading & Math Acceleration, Acceleration Program for English Learners, Dual Language, STEAM, ELAC Jaime Escalante Math and ELAC Summer Camp
Students who are not eligible to participate in these special summer programs are eligible to participate in a 6-week Woodcraft Rangers Summer Program (first-come, first-served).
5. A parent I know did not receive a summer school invitation for their child. Could I share the invitation link with him/her?
No, summer school programs are by invitation only. Please do not share the invitation links.
6. What if I missed the enrollment deadline on April 22, 2024?
Due to limited capacity, program acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you did not enroll by the deadline, complete the form below to put the student name on the waitlist.
Please note: This will not guarantee placement.
7. Are current TK or Preschool students invited to Summer School?
Grade K - 8 students (in 2024-25) are invited (except for ESY). Currently enrolled students, not new students, are invited to summer programs.
8. Can I request the school site for a Summer School Program?
No, due to limited capacity, we cannot accommodate school site requests.
9. I have two or more children who have been invited to different programs at different sites. Could siblings attend one site?
Please fill out the inquiry and we will look at your request. Change in site is not guaranteed.
10. Is there a fee for the Woodcraft Ranger full day program?
There is no fee for Woodcraft Rangers, including field trips.
11. Will my child receive breakfast & lunch?
Yes, if your child arrives on time he/she will be served breakfast at the designated breakfast area. Yes, lunch will be served to all attending students.
12. My child has a special need. Will Summer School provide similar support as during the school year?
This is decided on a case by case basis. Please fill out this form so we can be notified.
13. What if we have vacation plans and must skip some days/weeks of the program? Who do I need to talk to?
Students cannot miss more than one week. If your child must, please notify us at <[email protected]> before the first day of school. // If your child will miss a few days only (throughout the program), please talk to the teacher on the first day of class.
14. When will I receive confirmation for my child to attend Summer School?You will receive a confirmation via email by mid-May.
