Curriculum and Instruction
The District’s core curriculum is defined by the California content standards in the various disciplines, including English language arts, English language development (ELD), mathematics, science, history/social science, health, physical education, and visual and performing arts. Garvey School District is in the process of transitioning to the Common Core State Standards (California Standards) in English Language Arts and Math as well as the new ELD Standards (2012) and the Next Generation Science Standards.
